A lot of people always dismiss zombie as fictional characters until the year 2020 when COVID-19 struck and businesses as well as tourism was paralyzed just in a similar way it happened in zombie apocalypse. 

To crown it all, what caused zombie apocalypse to happen and also what caused COVID-19 is clearly related to one thing, which everyone knows: virus. 

This has raised a series of questions about zombie apocalypse. One of these questions which are asked mostly is: 


can zombie apocalypse happen? 



The answer to this question can be yes or no, respectively. The yes answer: To vividly understand why zombie apocalypse can happen, it is paramount to have a pictorial view of this. Amnesia can erase the memory of people, thus making it difficult for people to recall or remember easily the past.

We have seen in several zombie movies where a victim is bitten and he becomes vicious and dangerous, completely unable to remember his loved ones. 

They would apparently see their loved ones as nothing but a meal to feast on. 

There are also instances of zombie movies where the bitten victim can remember his or her past vividly, but yet he still poses the threat to other people who are not bitten. 

Apart from amnesia, somnambulism is another instance which indicates that zombie apocalypse can happen. 

Simply imagine someone who walks around eating and interacting with other people without knowing what he is actually doing because he is deeply asleep. 

Now let us consider the most fearful of them all, which is the virus. There is no doubt that virus is the major cause of zombie apocalypse, more like the spread of communicable diseases. 

Virus can easily spread from one victim to the other through bite or blood transfusion. Some virus affect people through contaminated air which they inhale or breathe. 

This can be seen during the COVID-19, which started in China but later spread to other countries. 

Even though COVID-19 virus is quite different from zombie virus, they all actually want the target, which is to kill human. 

The second discrepancy between COVID-19 and zombie virus emanates from the fact that zombie virus resurrects its victim after killing them, but to spread to other people, just like COVID-19, it has to make a victim to be extremely wild and dangerous. 

Can a zombie apocalypse happen? 


The answer is yes if such virus comes into existence. The no answer. Scientifically, there is no evidence that zombie apocalypse can happen anytime soon. 

This is because, in real life, a virus that can turn human into zombie has not yet been discovered. 


It is on scientific record that when human being dies, a lot of changes occur. 

These changes range from the stopping of the heart, which regularly pumps the blood to the brain. 

In fact, when the body dies, the brain immediately stops to receive oxygen, leading to the gradual death of the brain cells. 

As everything dies, the blood cannot perform any further action. The body cannot perform any further action. 

This is where the scientific explanation comes into: The movement of any human is allegedly controlled by the brain. 

Not just the movement only, the speech, emotion, memory and other important functions are also controlled by the brain. 

Most importantly, a virus can only affect the cell, but it cannot bring back a dead body to life. 

However, it is worthy of note that some diseases can cause harm to the brain, consequently making the person arguably inflicted with the sickness or disease to have unusual behavior. 

There are also some medical conditions whereby a person may suffer brain disorder, hallucination, confusion and aggression. 

All these conditions point at the fact that the brain can be hurt or diseased. There is absolutely a clear difference between a person suffering from brain disorder and a zombie virus. 


Can a virus make people to be aggressive? 



Well, the whole situation is this: just like any other diseases, virus can have a strong influence on a person and causing different brain disorder. 

In reality, virus is deadly in human system and can effectuate changes in human. 



Nonetheless, virus which can make hundreds of millions to drift out of their normal behavior, hunting for their fellow human and as well eating human flesh, may be a complicated biological problem. 

There is also instances of parasites changing the behavior of animals. This can have a great influence on the host, thereby helping the parasite to effectively survive or reproduce. 

With the similar thing that happened to animal and parasite, human beings have begun to wonder if parasites can do likewise to human and turning them to zombie. 

Currently, there is no parasite that can cause human to turn into zombie. The zombie movies are therefore for entertainment.
